First jam - first failure


Greeting everyone reading this post! We appreciate your interest in our team & game.

First of all we have to say that this game is North Nomads' first experience in gamejams. This is also our first time using itch.io platform. So we thank GMTK for hosting this event.

We have already participated in game development events such as Game Projects Accelerator. During that event we had to build our game for a whole year.  This event gives us only 48 hours which was a real challenge. 

Unfortunately the idea we have chosen was hard and too wide for such a small jam. Generally, we had to build a game inside a game. And the hardest thing was to make player state machine to work. The last day we decided remove inventory managment system and handling furnaces feature. Though it was already too late. 

Last day we spent only to make this prototype somehow work and we completed this task. We learned the lesson out of this jam. We will take part in some other jams. Our main mistake was in too complicated brainstorming.
